The Most Critical Issues in Human Life on Earth

The following thoughts are based on my own personal experience and knowledge, having lived almost seven decades on this planet earth. I dearly hope that they are shared for your personal interaction and benefit. First, we will have a summation of these, and we will elaborate at more length later, for those who may have an interest in learning more.

Self Concept

Who am I?

Have you ever articulated the answer to this question (either in concept or actual words-preferably in writing)? If you have, then you would have faced the following options, before you made your final choice.

To the best of my knowledge and experience every human being is either a special creation or just another animal specie. You will make the choice either consciously or by default.

If you believe that human beings evolved just like other animals, from a single cell that came to existence by accident/statistical probability-actually impossibility-, then you will live like an animal with very limited understanding of what this life is all about. You will take it as it comes, and respond with your natural instincts as you go on trying to satisfy your needs for existence until finally death comes along and ends this life. The spiritual dimension will have very little significance in your thinking and/or living.

However, if you recognize that there must be a substantial difference between the human creature and the rest of creation; then you will sense the need to try to develop a clearer understanding of human/your life and living on this planet earth.

More will be written about this for your review and interaction, but you really must make your personal choice of one of the above in order for you to develop a firm foundation for your existence on this earth and its quality.

Relating

Self concept is the main root for living, both in terms of feeling and then the manner you seek to satisfy your needs for survival/existence. Let me give you a real simple illustration:

In the animal kingdom, the mother follows her natural instincts first for mating and then caring for and nourishing her young/s until such a time that they can fend for themselves. Then she becomes a competitor with her own immediate family except in certain mammals. Brute power defines the status of each animal even in the cases where there is a semblance of a family.

In human society, on the other hand, humans continue to develop the special relationship within the family focusing on caring and training the human creature to exist within certain acceptable/human dictated limits.

Humans are always in control of all creation, at least on this earth.

In human society, in general, a new mother is helped by the more experienced, and the little child is cared for, loved, and trained by the entire family; and even the community to some degree. His or her position within the family and the community is always unique to that individual person; and is usually influenced by the person's natural and learned abilities to relate to others within the family and the community at large. This becomes clearer as the person grows closer to maturity.

Choice

The rest of the entire creation is subject to the 'laws of nature' that - we believe - were set in motion by The Creator. Such entity, depending on the limited understanding of every human being, certainly reflect a phenomenal level of balance, beauty, caring, intelligence, power, and understanding; according to human comprehension and standards for existing/living in society.

All creation depends on The Creator for sustenance, every breath of their lives on this earth. The animal and plant kingdoms go exactly according to a pre-set (humanly speaking) rules, or automatic controls. They are totally dependent on The Creator, either directly or through His human creation, for sustenance and their environmental survival. They really have no choice or control.

The human creature is the only one –on earth- that is endowed with the ability and freedom to make choices, and act upon them according to her/his desire and timing. This then is reflected in the growing ability of certain individuals to grow in their understanding and, what humans call, wisdom; which is the 'application of knowledge'.

Humanity's ability to communicate is also very unique in terms of the dimensions of such as compared to pure instinctive simple communication in the other (specially the animal) kingdoms (an exclusively human term).

Social Existence

Although natural abilities are important, learning and applying is even more so in the case of every human creature. The fact that human society has developed and changed so much over the thousands of years of human existence on this planet earth is an undeniable proof to the role of learning in our human social existence. Both the animal and plant kingdoms continue to exist almost exactly as they have always done -except for the humanly influenced changes- even though they might have predated the human creature on this earth. Moreover, as human learning improved, one can observe the positive impact that that has left on both kingdoms in recent centuries; especially in some of the more educated and advanced societies. Human care (no matter the motivation or for whatever reason) has improved substantially, and thus yielded significant improvements in agriculture, forestry, and preservation in general.

However, it is in this area where one observes that there is an obvious and very serious conflict between what is desirable or good, and the harmful/undesirable or evil. Overall, when one compares what has been happening in general and all across the spectrum of life and living, the most striking difference between one region and the other on this planet earth can be explained totally by the degree of learning (how much or how little) that has been utilized/thus benefited the specific country or region. This is especially true in the realm of human freedoms and rights, civilized living, and over all improvement in the understanding of people and the caring for others, even the generations to come.

In most instances, the rule is that when the leadership of a country or society subscribes to the basic philosophy that truly values human life (in the Judeo-Christian tradition/view) and apply it in the manner it governs the people then that society has been much more successful in attaining the desirable impact for improving life and living. The opposite has also been very true, and the last fifty years have produced/continues to produce unmistakable examples of both, all over the world.

The most widely copied, distributed, read, and sold book in all generations in our world is The Bible (Torah, Prophets, and Gospels i.e. Old and New Testaments). If you have not investigated it first hand you owe it to yourself; because it has the Words of Life. It is either God's Word or you are calling God as a liar. It is your personal decision, but I hope that you do not take that decision lightly: It will affect your life.

The Bible says that life is eternal (because God breathed life into every human); and every human will die physically but will live either as a child of God/with God, or separated from God – in hell. It is your free choice to make, and you'll face the consequences. Only Jesus Christ can pay for the sin of humanity, and can assure everyone who believes of eternal life with God. So, who do you say Jesus The Christ is? Is He your Savior and Lord of your life, or was he just another prophet or man? Either he had conquered death once for all time, or millions upon hundreds of millions have been/are deceived. Find your own answers for yourself.

Sin is like Cancer, and the Blood Of Christ is the cure; but the Word Of God is the medicine that needs to be taken faithfully and regularly/daily for the continued remission of the deadly cancer.
