For the Young
(12 and Under) (13-17 year old)

(12 and Under) Because you are precious as God sees you we want you to be sure that we love you too; JUST AS YOU ARE! Therefore, we share with you ideas that may help you grow strong to become a healthy and mature person in your thinking and reasoning.

Let us start by asking you some questions that will make you think a little, and as you think about them – we hope that - you begin to really make sound choices in how you use your time and what you do with it. Try to write down your answers, and save them in a file; so that you can review them at a later time (this will help you experience the change as it happens in your life and thinking):

What do you like most?
Why do you think you like it?
What will that do for you in the next year or two?
Can you think of something else that you may really like doing?
What is the difference between it and what you do now?
Is it something that you may like to do for a long time in your life?
Does it help others somehow?
What do ‘others’ mean to you? (start with your immediate family and then reach out to people you know well).
Why do some mean more than others?
Do you try to take time to share with those who are close to you, or are you so wrapped up with your desires to play and do your own thing so that you do not think of others?

Hope the above give you something to think about, and it will then help make you think before you choose to say anything or act when you face any/every situation easy or tough.

May I ask you one question?
What do you think of ‘time’?

Please take time to write down your answers and keep them in a file that you can review from time to time. We hope that this will help you begin to test and actually observe your maturing process.

How do you usually use your time, especially when you have no school?
Is how you use your time important for your future?
Do you actively manage your time, or you let the circumstances do that for you?

Time is known as the ‘great equalizer’. Every human being that ever lived/ lives on this earth has 24 hours of every day that he/she live; which means that every person is equal with every other person that lives, even though their years may be longer of shorter.

Many people, however, do not use time wisely. The most important element in using time is to try and maintain balance amongst the many things that you need to do or accomplish. This is not easy, and it keeps changing depending on your stage of life. Yet, it is one of/if not the most important matters in life and living on this planet earth. However, you need to start with a clear awareness of the available choices; and much you think and plan these choices.

Well, does this make sense to you? Do you have any questions?

Please do not hesitate to let us know; and we’ll try and help you as best we can, and in a timely manner.
